Marching/Walking Unit $40 for a Marching/Walking Unit is a group of participants who walk the parade route on foot, without the use of a vehicle, float, or trailer. These units may include bands, drill teams, hālau hula, cultural groups, sports teams, schools, clubs, or community organizations. Performances such as music, dance, or coordinated routines are encouraged, but not required. Mobile Unit
Mobile Unit $70 for aMobile Unit isany parade entry featuring a motorized vehicle, including floats or trailers, cars, vans, pick-up trucks, motorcycles, heavy equipment, or first responder vehicles. Entries may represent businesses, community organizations, cultural groups, government agencies, or other participating organizations. Vehicles may be decorated or themed in keeping with the parade.
Mounted Unit $95 for aMounted Unit is any parade entry featuring participants on horseback or other ridden animals. Riders may be individuals or groups representing cultural traditions, rodeo clubs, equestrian associations, or community organizations. Animals may be costumed or decorated, but must always be handled with care and respect.
Combined Unit - Walking/Marching/Mobile $70 for a Combination of any one or more of the above listed units.

Maui County Fair Parade Rules & RegulationsTo ensure a safe, enjoyable, and successful parade for everyone, please review and adhere to the following rules:
Mandatory Meeting Attendance: An authorized representative from your unit must attend the mandatory meeting on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Pōmaikaʻi Elementary School Cafeteria. This meeting is crucial for receiving important information and parade instructions.
No Alcohol or Smoking:Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are permitted in any parade areas, including staging, disassembly, and along the parade route. Violators will be asked to leave immediately. Please also refrain from smoking in these areas, as many young children and adults participate in the parade.
No Tossing or Handing Out Items:Tossing or handing out any items (including candy, leaflets, coupons, or souvenirs) to spectators along the parade route is strictly prohibited. This includes political solicitations and handouts. Violators will be removed from the parade by Marshals, and their future parade applications will be denied.
No Political Campaigning: The Maui County Fair Parade is a community celebration and may not be used for political campaigning or electioneering. Candidates for political office, elected officials, and their representatives may participate as part of an approved parade unit; however, campaigning for political office is strictly prohibited. This includes campaign signs, banners, apparel, slogans, literature, solicitation of votes, or other materials or activities intended to promote or oppose a candidate for elected office. Participation should remain focused on the organization, office, community, or parade entry being represented. Violations may result in removal from the parade and may affect eligibility for future participation.
Proper Footwear Required: All participants must wear proper footwear at all times. This means shoes, not rubber slippers. Gymnastic groups are exempt; however, if your group requires an exemption for specific footwear, please request it from the Parade Chairperson in advance.
Responsibility for Minors: Each unit is fully responsible for any minors in their care. Adult supervisors will be accountable for all minors until a parent or guardian picks them up. The Parade Committee and the Festivals of Aloha are not responsible for unattended minors.
Amplified Sound Courtesy: If your unit uses amplified sound, please be courteous on the parade route. The volume must be adjusted so it does not interfere with other units.
Trash Disposal: Please police your area for trash! Bring rubbish bags and pick up all litter and debris (e.g., paper, cans, flowers, water bottles) before leaving your staging and disassembly areas. Dispose of it properly. Mahalo for your cooperation!
Punctuality is Key: Please be punctual and ensure your unit is ready when the Marshal asks you to move into position for entry into your parade sequence.
Unit Necessities: Be sure to provide water and any other necessities your unit may require, such as medications, snacks, wheelchairs, or other ambulatory or required items. The Parade Committee does not provide these items.
Mandatory Insurance Coverage: As a parade participant, liability insurance for $1,000,000.00 is mandatory. Remit payment as indicated on the Fair Application, and the Maui Fair Alliance will provide coverage for you. The insurance compliance/fee must be submitted with your Parade Application.
